SOLD OUT: Myobrace Certified Provider Australian Summit 2017 - Gold Coast, Queensland

9:00 AM Thu, June 29, 2017 - 5:00 PM Sat, July 01, 2017

The Myobrace® System

Traditionally, the view among orthodontists was that mechanical symptom correction was the only means of treating genetically inevitable malocclusion. Focus has shifted from the technical and mechanical excellence of the past and dental professionals are increasingly looking towards more health driven, biological, evidence-based and effective approaches to correcting malocclusion. As the incidence of malocclusion in 21st century children approaches 100 per cent the demand for orthodontic treatment has never been greater.

       MYOBRACE® K1/BWS - K2 - T3 - T4

Follow up courses will show you how to integrate Myofunctional Orthodontics into any
Paediatric, General or Orthodontic practice.

Achieve results in less then 12 months that you never thought possible. No extractions and no braces.

The MRC Annual Global Summit is a great opportunity for MCP’s to network with other professionals, find out about the latest developments in appliances and myofunctional orthodontic techniques as well as learn about the most recent advances in patient education and compliance programs. The three day summit includes workshops regarding how to diagnose and treat airway dysfunction and TMJ disorder as well as advanced myofunctional orthodontic and expansion techniques course presented by MRC CEO and founder Dr. Chris Farrell and other leading practitioners.

LECTURERS:
Dr. Chris Farrell BDS Sydney - Through clinical experience, Dr Farrell took an interest in TMJ / TMD Disorder and after further research discovered the etiology of malocclusion and TMJ Disorder was myofunctional, which contradicted the established views of his profession.  Dr Farrell founded MRC in 1989 to develop myofunctional appliances to be effective in early orthodontic treatment.  The Trainer and Myobrace® appliance systems are now used by dentists and orthodontists in more than 100 countries.

Dr. Rohan Wijey B Oral H (Dent Sci), Grad. Dip. Dent O.M. - After completing dentistry  at Griffith University in Queensland Australia Dr Wijey undertook further myofunctional study in the USA and achieved his Orofacial Myologist qualification.  Since joining MRC in 2007 Dr Wijey has assumed responsibility for the organisation’s training program and presented courses and seminars around the world. Additionally, Dr Wijey has had articles regarding the aetiology of malocclusion, Class III treatment, early intervention and myofunctional orthodontics published in numerous dental, paediatric and orthodontic journals.

Dr Gavin Yang BHlthSc / MDent (La Trobe) - Dr Gavin Yang graduated from dental school at La Trobe University, Victoria in 2013.Throughout his years of study, Dr Yang covered all facets within the realm of dentistry. However, he discovered his passion after being inspired by his University Head of Orthodontics. Ever since then, Dr Yang’s intrigue within the field of Orthodontics grew significantly. Since graduating as a Dentist, Dr Yang decided to further his education within the field of Orthodontics by attending many courses. In particular, he took special interest in Myofunctional Orthodontics where he was enlightened to its many benefits and potential. Under the expert guidance of Dr Rohan Wijey, Dr Yang has now become an integral member of the Myobrace Pre-Orthodontic Centers and avid promoter of the Myobrace® philosophy.

Dr. David McIntosh (ENT Surgeon) - Dr David McIntosh is an adjunct Associate Professor of ENT in Queensland. He specialises in paediatric ENT, nose and sinus disease, and snoring and sleep apnoea and is an internationally recognised specialist in the field of the interplay between ENT and dentistry. He is the founder of one of the largest ENT services in Australia and runs the largest education service in the world for dentists and doctors on ENT. With a demand for his services nationwide, he has settled in Queensland's Sunshine Coast region as the place he calls home, as it allows access to his services for people travelling from all over the country (and occasionally from overseas) whilst affording a balanced lifestyle that the beautiful beaches and surrounds have to offer. He is the only ENT surgeon working North of Brisbane that holds a PhD, paediatric subspecialty qualifications, and has been a recipient of a NHMRC scholarship. In fact there are few in ENT surgeons in Australia that have just one of these, let alone all three. From a surgical point of view, he is one of the most experienced ENT surgeons in Australia. He is a highly regarded specialist amongst his peers, having treated many doctors own family members, such is the faith and trust endeared in his knowledge and skills.

Vanee Ganesaratnam O.M. (Orofacial Myologist) - Ms Vanee Ganesaratnam is a foundation member of the Myobrace Pre-Orthodontic Center, and has worked alongside Dr Chris Farrell (MRC CEO and founder) since 2005 to develop its philosophy and novel approach to early myofunctional orthodontic treatment. Ms Ganesaratnam gained her qualifications as an orofacial myologist in 2009, which was approved by the International Association of Orofacial Myology (IAOM). Ms Ganesaratnam learned how simple exercises for the orofacial muscles produced significant improvements in not only a child’s malocclusion but also facial development and overall health.
