A Syndrome of Ear and Sinus Symptoms Dependent upon Disturbed Function of the Temporomandibular Joint

The problem of temporomandibular joint function and occlusion being a major dental issue, it appears almost entirely in the dental literature. The following group of symptoms may be observed frequently in patients with endentulous mouths and a marked overbite, the syndrome is classic for lesions of the sinuses or ears, yet overbite and disturbance of the joint are so easily overlooked as etiologic factors that it becomes a source of error in analysing cases in otolaryngology.
