Protection of the teeth from bruxing with improved retention

The Bruxogard Hard is a mouldable appliance used to effectively manage and reduce the symptoms of heavy bruxing. It is designed for patients who have bruxing issues and are looking for a cost-effective alternative to custom-made dental appliances.

Also available in the more flexible Bruxogard Soft.

Directions for Use

The Bruxogard is designed to fit over the teeth and be worn overnight while sleeping.

It is recommended that the appliance be moulded by a practitioner. If further moulding is required, follow the below steps.

Step 1
Place the Bruxogard into bowl of freshly boiled water upside down (100°C/212°F) for 60 seconds.
Step 2
Gently lift the appliance from the water using a spoon, then quickly proceed with the next step.
Step 3
Watching in a mirror, line up the centre of the Bruxogard with the centre line of the upper teeth and proceed quickly with the following step.
Step 4
Press the Bruxogard firmly into the front teeth and molars and bite down hard on the Bruxogard while you suck in strongly, pressing the edges of the appliance in through the lips and cheeks for 20 seconds.
Step 5
Remove from the mouth and place in a bowl of cold water for one minute. Test back in the mouth for a firm fit. The appliance can be remoulded by repeating the fitting procedure if necessary.
