Protection of the teeth from grinding with improved retention

The Myosa^® TGH is a single-size, custom mouldable appliance designed to provide immediate symptom relief for patients with bruxism. The durable, dual-layered appliance provides an alternative to traditional flat plane splints and allows for better retention when moulding.

Directions for Moulding

The Myosa^® TGH is fitted over the teeth and worn at night while sleeping and can also be worn during the day if daytime grinding is an issue. It features a unique flat base designed to protect the teeth and jaws from the effects of night time teeth grinding and is easy to mould in under two minutes.

Step 1
Place the TGH into bowl of freshly boiled water upside down (100°C/212°F) for 60 seconds.
Step 2
Gently lift the TGH from the boiled water using a spoon. Shake off excess water to bring the surface temperature to a bearable level and quickly proceed with the next steps!
Step 3
Use a mirror to line up the centre of the TGH with the centre line of the upper teeth, then press firmly against front teeth and molars.
Step 4
Close your mouth while biting down firmly on the TGH. Suck in strongly and press edges into teeth and gum line through the lips and cheeks for 20 seconds.
Step 5
Place the appliance in cold water for two minutes to cool then reinsert to check fit. The appliance can be remoulded by repeating the fitting procedure if necessary.
