Myoretainr® Hard (RH)

For enhancing stability after orthodontic treatment

The Myoretainr® Hard is a firm prefabricated appliance designed to be used as a retainer after orthodontic treatment. The appliance can be used on its own or in combination with bonded lingual retainers. It has features that not only help to hold the teeth in their aligned position but also improve breathing and oral muscle issues, which further improve retention. Due to its durability, the Myoretainr®Hard provides the best retention and realignment.

Due to its durability, the Myoretainr®Hard provides the best retention and realignment performance but may be less comfortable for some users. For greater comfort, use the softer Myoretainr ®.


Myoretainr® Hard – Design features

The Myoretainr® Hard provides durable retention and includes a range of design features for maintaining tooth align while also improving breathing and oral muscle function.

Directions for Use

The Myoretainr®Hard can be used overnight only while sleeping, however, for maximum effectiveness, it should be worn for one to two hours while awake as well. Your teeth may become slightly sensitive in the early stages of treatment. This is quite normal, but if the pain becomes excessive, decrease application time and consult your doctor.

    Hold the Myoretainr®Hard with tongue tag facing up.

    Place the Myoretainr®Hard into the mouth.

    Step 2

  • Step 3

    Keep tongue positioned on the tongue tag.

    Step 3

  • Step 4

    Close down on the Myoretainr®Hard and feel it working to retain your front teeth and jaws.

  • Step 5

    Keep lips together and breathe through nose.

    Step 5

Cleaning the Myoretainr® Hard

The Myoretainr®Hard appliance should be cleaned should be cleaned under warm running water every time the patient removes it from their mouth.

Use Myoclean™ tablets to thoroughly clean twice a week. Myoclean™ is the recommended cleaning agent for all MRC appliances.
