Myosa® for Teeth Grinders - TG

Protection of the teeth from bruxing with improved comfort

The Myosa^® TG is a single-size, custom mouldable appliance designed to provide immediate symptom relief for patients with bruxism. The flexible, single-layer appliance is easily moulded and fits comfortably in any mouth size while helping to protect the teeth from bruxing and reducing muscle tension around the mouth. The TG is recommended for night use, but can also be used during the day if daytime grinding is a problem.

Directions for Moulding

The Myosa^® TG is fitted over the teeth and worn at night while sleeping and can also be worn during the day if daytime grinding is an issue. It features a unique flat base designed to protect the teeth and jaws from the effects of night time teeth grinding and is easy to mould in under two minutes.

Step 1
Place the TG into bowl of freshly boiled water upside down (100°C/212°F) for 60 seconds.
Step 2
Gently lift the TG from the boiled water using a spoon. Shake off excess water to bring the surface temperature to a bearable level and quickly proceed with the next steps!
Step 3
Use a mirror to line up the centre of the TG with the centre line of the upper teeth, then press firmly against front teeth and molars.
Step 4
Close your mouth while biting down firmly on the TG. Suck in strongly and press edges into teeth and gum line through the lips and cheeks for 20 seconds.
Step 5
Place the appliance in cold water for two minutes to cool then reinsert to check fit. The appliance can be remoulded by repeating the fitting procedure if necessary.
