Myotalea® Certification - (SOLD OUT)

OVERVIEW

Completion of this course will result in a comprehensive understanding of The Myotalea^® System. This course is open to dental assistants, dental hygienists, oral health therapists, dentists, orthodontists, speech therapists, physiotherapists, osteopaths, chiropractors, ENTs and sleep physicians who have successfully completed the Myobrace^® Certified Educator course with a score upwards of 80%.

This course will include the basics of anatomy and physiology of the orofacial musculature, as well as provide complete and intricate training on The Myotalea^® System and all of the variants that lead to utilizing this system.

COURSE TOPICS

Myotalea^®Activities - Hands-on engagement of how and when to utilize each appliance with your patients;
Review of diagnostic tools (MOE, BFTs, NB3, ME Check);
Dysfunctional tongue evaluation;
The palatal stretch;
Maternal health deficits in lactation;
Intercepting and identifying Sleep Disordered Breathing (SDB);

Dr Ana Lorena Gómez

Le Dr Ana Lorena Gómez a pratiqué la dentisterie générale pendant 27 ans. Elle a pratiqué exclusivement l'orthodontie pendant 17 ans, mais a intégré le système Myobrace^® dans le traitement régulier de ses patients en 2009. Cela a entraîné une augmentation du nombre de patients traités et de meilleurs résultats en matière de stabilité des cas et d'harmonie du visage. Le Dr Gómez partage son expérience sur la façon dont elle a changé la façon de faire les diagnostics initiaux, en incorporant des évaluations myofonctionnelles et, ce faisant, elle a pu traiter le problème de la mauvaise fonction plus tôt et dans le cadre d'un traitement orthodontique préventif intégral, changeant ainsi la façon dont les soins étaient prodigués.

Kelly De Miro
RDH, BS, OMT, IBCLC

Mme Kelly Baker a débuté sa carrière en tant qu'assistante dentaire dès le lycée, puis est devenue hygiéniste dentaire agréée. Elle a poursuivi sa formation dans le domaine dentaire en enrichissant ses connaissances des applications cliniques des techniques et en obtenant sa certification en anesthésie locale en 2008. En octobre de la même année, elle a suivi un cours de l'IAOM pour devenir thérapeute myofonctionnelle. Après avoir passé 19 ans à exercer en tant que RDH et OMT, elle a accepté le rôle de éducatrice américaine en chef au sein d'MRC, où elle a pu exprimer sa passion et sa conviction dans la thérapie myofonctionnelle.
